Just thought I would quickly log on to wish everyone a Happy Eid.
Its been a beautiful day so far...popped over to the University to do Eid prayers with the sisters...it was so good to see such a mix of women from all backgrounds. It's at times like this you realise the diversity of Islam and also the Unity...black brown and white praying shoulder to shoulder....its one of the only times in this age that you notice that colour means nothing. That we are all equal and one family.
Please remember today is not about presents and stuffing your faces but about bonding, unity and forgiveness. It's a day that we should remember our brothers and sisters who are suffering all over the world... and appreciate what we have. So today make sure you show your loved ones how much they mean to you and give thanks to Allah fOR everything you have.
